What To Wear When You’re Everywhere
You: An individual, a daydreamer, a Type A planner, PTA mom, wife, partner, reluctant picker-upper of toys, momtrepreneur, an artist, a poet, the big boss-woman, poised for that well-deserved promotion . . .
What do you secretly call yourself? You know we all live up to SOME title or another.
You are, at any given moment: working, shopping, cooking, researching for your dissertation, cleaning, picking up the kids, renovating your house, off to the dry cleaner, meeting your editor, out to tea, operating the jackhammer as you redo your driveway . . .
You are wearing: the Doe Doe Romper.
You may have to be six people in one day, but at least you don’t have to change clothes!
So, busy lady, let’s talk rompers. Rompers have had a resurgence in the non-preggo fashion world recently. Your favorite childhood outfit: revived and revamped for womanhood. And no wonder, rompers are comfortable, versatile (so so easily dressed up or down—pair with heels or wellies!), and suggest a kind of free-spirited easiness that we all crave in our hectic lives. But let’s say you didn’t jump on the romper bandwagon before you had your bun in the oven. Well, now is the perfect time to get on it!
The Doe Doe Romper has all of the charms of the rompers you’re seeing in store windows, but because it’s for les mamans I’ve made sure it has plenty of other charms too. Doe Doe’s roomy pockets make this romper uniquely becoming on your changing shape. And it’s ultra-cleanable. If you get puked on or worse (welcome to Mommyhood), it’s no problem! It’s nylon! You just wipe it off and follow these handy tips. Finally, though no less important, Doe Doe features an amazing elastic tube top that will work with your ever-growing (and growing) chest. I wore mine pregnant and breastfeeding without a bra. No bra + still supported = pregnant bliss. And the best part about our Romper? It makes a great post-natal look too. YAY! Something you can wear for more than a few months. What is your favorite piece of clothing that takes you through all-year-wear?
And while we’re on the subject of you—you multitasking woman with your multitasking romper—you’re gonna need to wind down at the end of that busy day. Just ‘cuz I love ya, here’s some of my favorite ways to relax.
*Dr. Bronner’s Lavender Soap: A crazy day calls for an inviting, rejuvenating bath. Get in the tub and pull out the aromatherapy soap! This lovely-smelling soap is perfect for mommy, baby, and daddy. If you’re the camping type, it’s a multitasking product (just like you!). Use it on your hair, hands, face, body—the rich lather is divine. And hello? The best part? It’s all natural! Of, course. Thank you Dr. Bronner’s for sponsoring our latest fashion show, Fashion Fights for a Cure, to benefit THE CODY DIERUF BENEFIT FOUNDATION. We you!
*Yogi Tea: Before, during, and after pregnancy this tea rocked my world—but only in a perfectly calming, mellow way.
*Put those feet up! When I was pregnant, I put my feet up for one hour every night, making sure that they were at a level above my head while lying down. I even soaked my tootsies in cold water (I gave birth at the end of July in SoCal . . . it gets a little toasty over here). My feet never got swollen throughout my pregnancy, and I credit this good fortune to all the ways I took care of myself during that time. Seriously, you can run yourself ragged for the rest of your life—now is the time to just slooow dooown.
